The "Company" and The "Noise" Part II

The "Noise" = Kan na sai Carol - It is reported that, during the existent of Kan na sai Carol, the noise pollution in Western Australia increased by 40% of their average 15%. But the good news is, nobody needs the "News" on TV, Radio and other medias to get the latest hot and juicy gossips. All u have to do is call "1-800-Kan-na-sai"..

My first impression of Carol:
Quite, cute, loving, caring, very down to earth person. But once u start a conversation with her...Kan na sai lor...(with whole loads of fun of coz...i miss her dearly)

To talk about Carol, we have to go way back to like 1999 - 2000... can't really remember. It was either a Friday or a Sat night where clubbing was very much the "thing" for me. As usual, went out clubbing with my mates...namely Ah Bee, Gary, etc..in "Heaven - Sunway Hotel"

As usual, we were checking the "scene"...a typical one:

Bee: wahh..so many ppl ar....wah wah wah...look at that?
Me: where where...wahhhh....oklar...
Bee: wah wah...what about that one??
Me: wahh...oklar...but i think that's the bf..
Bee: ya meh??...so?...

...and it goes on and on and on...talk only...no action..biasalar..

Near the bar, stands 3 girls...one of them was hot and Ah Bee sets his target for the night...the other two..oklar...not interested..
So as the night goes, drink...drink...smoke...smoke..dance..dance...jiggle abit....but for Ah Bee, one of his famous dance move, "Just-Stand-here-and-Act-Cool" was the best performance overall - basically just stand wherever he is and act cool..

Out of no where...this hot chiq that Ah Bee has been eyeing came to us and started talking to Ah Bee. I was like...hey hey hey..not bad...how do u do that "Just-Stand-here-and-Act-Cool" thingy lar?

Not long after their conversation, the 2 other girl joins in.

Girl No 1. - Carol
Girl No 2. - Eva (Carol's sister)
Girl No 3. - Alysa ( the one that talks to Ah bee)

So we hang out together that night in the club...supper...talk cock sing song...yam cha here..yam cha there...and that's how i got to know Carol.

Ah bee was very much in conversation with the 3 girls - often yam cha and stuff like that. To his surpised, Alysa seldom joins them. Only get to know her abouts thru Carol or Eva. This carries on for some time.

One day, while Carol is chit chatting on the phone with Ah bee, Carol told Ah bee:

Carol: actually...that night at the club...the reason why Alysa talk to you is because i wanted to know you...and i think i like u...
Ah bee: .......
Ah bee: .......*sweating*...
Ah bee: wei...ha ha ha ...nice joke man..

Life is full of lots of up and downs, And the distance feels further when you're lying to my ground, And there is nothing more painful than to let you're words take ...me down,

It's so hard to count the phone bill being flush, When there's many thoughts and feelings that you hide, But i might feel better if you let me walk with Alysa by her side,

but its true that's what happen and how i get to know Carol.

Not long after that, to my surprised, Je and #3 knows Carol too - Carol, Je and #3 are college mates - LKW. Je and #3 did not know that i knew Carol and so...surpised here...surprised there...bla bla bla

Kan na Sai Carol: why Kan na sai? Well..Kan na sai is actually a Hokkien dialect which means "like shit"...no...not "like" as in "prefer" kinda like but "like" as in "macam". Fuck..this is getting confusing...in other words Kan na sai = macam tahi ar...

Of coz we ain't sayin' that Carol like a shit or something. Well if you pronounce her name after the bahasa translation = "macam tahi ar Carol"..then yea...she's like a shit...but that's not what it is...Carol is a loving, caring, cute lil' down to earth girl...Its just that she lovessss to use the word "Kan na sai" so much and she practically includes it into anything that comes out from her mouth:

When trying hard to poop:
"kaaaaaaannn...naaaa....aaaa...aaa...eeeeeeeerrr...kkkaaannnn..
nnnnnnaaaaAAaaAHHH..SAIII.." foooo..now that's a hard one.."

When sneezing:
"arrhh..arrhh..arhhhh...KANASAI.."

When placing order in a Japanese restaurant:
"hai..kunessan sushi des kan na sai..yit chang california kan na sai roll..hai hai..kan na sai green tea des..hai.."

In a French restaurant, ordering the finest wine:
"..yes..get me a bottle of ur finest kan na sai 1969 Durbanville Sauvigon Blanc..HAR?. BOH LIAU AR (finish?)..kan na sai lar.."

In a mariage discussion with the future in-laws:
"yes..of coz i'm happy...i've been persuading ur kan na sai son for so long for us to tie the knot...kan na sighhhh....finally..we did it"

These are the few of the loads of example where "Kan na sai" is being used by Carol. Try it yourself...very very exciting..

To much of my surprises...she's in perth as well...in Curtin too...and the Kan na sai continues...
But overall, Carol is a very good company and good listener and of coz..a good spreader....no no...not that kinda spreader spread...spreading news kinda spread...yess...

Imagine...u're having your period...and for some sick reason...you wanted the whole Klang Valley to know...of coz u cannot run around with ur tampon the whole of Klang Valley right??...yeap...all u have to do is call "1-800-kan-na-sai" and within minutes, the whole Klang Valley knows, some past experience to share - it can reach as far as Australia.

i repeat.. its "1-800-kan-na-sai" - the lines are always open.
